ok, techtronics eta of the lg3350 is now 28th december. I really wanted a player before xmas so...........is the Aiwa exactly the same?

Support for DTS, Dolby Digital? Is the interface exactly the same?


and more importantly are the parts exactly the same?

and....how do you cancel an order with techtronics? ;)

Will the picture be exactly the same?

Yes Steve, its the same apart from VCD playback on the Aiwa, Digital decoder on the LG, walking with dinosaurs with the LG, and a few extra "bookmark" style options with the LG.

All depends on what you want from the player...I think the Aiwa is a nicer looking player too, but the chips/boards/assemblys etc are the same as each other.

Take a look at Trolls site for the inner secrets of the LG, and mine will be up soon on the Aiwa...damndest thing about it is Troll keeps getting the same ideas for his site as I do...but he gets them there first!! lol

www.21store.co.uk are doing the LG3350 for 226ukp delivered. I ordered mine Wednesday lunchtime, arrived Thursday morning. They don`t advertise it as multi-region, but said I could send it back if the Pi hack didn`t work (it did work).

I work in electrical retail, and I wouldn`t touch a Sony if they gave me it for free.
