Wharfedale 750 + Videologic Digitheatre DTS
Hi everyone,
I`ve just splashed out on a Videologic Digitheatre DTS and have been using it just for Dolby Digital so far, but I got `Saving Private Ryan DTS` Region 1 delivered the other day and cannot get the DTS working. I know that the W`dale 750 is supposed to output a DTS signal, even though it does not say it on the player or in the instructions (it says so on the website and its only a bitstream like DD5.1 anyway).
Can anyone shed any light on this? I`m dying to hear DTS in action, but all I get at the minute is silence!
Cheers.

I can`t really help you as I don`t have the Digitheatre DTS yet.
But does it have a light against DTS on the control unit? One other way is to test it on another DVD player just to see if its your DVD player thats at fault or the Digitheatre itself.
Also can you post your thoughts on how you think the Digitheatre performs (obviously only limited to DD until you sort out the DTS problem)? Do you have it hooked up to a VCR as well, i`m also interested in the prologic sound as none of the reviews have touched on this.
As you can gather i`m very interested in buying the Digitheatre DTS and would appreciate a consumers view of this product.

How have you got the Wharf and Digitheatre connected ?
RE: Wharfedale 750 + Videologic Digitheatre DTS
Got them connected via coax. Also tried an optical lead, but to no avail.
I think the digitheatre is superb. The sound quality with DD is astonishingly good. The bass is verry good - very clear. The full spectrum of sound is quite impressive. Had absolutely no luck with the Wharfedale, and a guy from a newsgroup told me he had the same problem with the WDale and Digitheatre DTS - he tried a Pioneer player instead and the DTS worked fine. So I`m currently looking around for a sub-200 quid player that is multiregion and does DTS. My go for a Scan if I can get my hands on one.

Hi,
I have a Wharfedale 750 + Sony STRDB830 DTS reciever and I am having the same problems with the DTS(no sound at all ) i have tried various different connections and no luck. Also a freind has a 750 and a sherwood DTS reciever and same again .
I have emailed Wharfedale about this and as yet had no reply . The manual mentions DTS briefly but their web site says it will definately do Region 2 DTS DVD`s .
I am not sure about this , but could it be a problem because we are trying to use a region 1 DTS DVD?? I wouldn`t have thought that would be the case . I just think it doesn`t support DTS at all !
I would be interested if anyone gets a region 1 DTS DVD to work with the wharfedale .

Ian for 220 you can get the Yelo 800(Its better specced then the scan)
There is also the mico!
RE: Wharfedale 750 + Videologic Digitheatre DTS
I have a Wharfedale & a Sony STRDB930 dts reciever. I`ve had no problems with region 1 dts DVD`s (Lethal Weapon 1, 2 & 3, Saving Private Ryan and others all work fine).
I`ve connected the two up with an optical lead and have no problems with dts or Dolby Digital.
RE: Wharfedale 750 + Videologic Digitheatre DTS
I have just borrowed a Dts Audio CD and that worked fine , so now I am very confused why I cant get the Region 1 Dts DVD`s to work . Maybe it could be a firmware problem??

Alba 103 + Videologic Digitheatre DTS works fine for me. Using coax digital lead
