5 Weeks to Bonfire Night and I`m Already fed up with Fireworks!!!
Some king motherguyfawker decided to give my neighbourhood a firework display at 3.30am this morning, which woke me up and I couldn`t get back to sleep for thinking about strangling the barsteward. Hence the rant!!
Obviously state handouts are getting very generous these days.
Year on year then mentality of these boom/bang freaks deminishes whilst firework injuries continue to rise. They banned bangers but it still makes no difference as the air bomb is now in favour which some of them sounding more like major explosions
It`s about time the government took a tougher stance and restricted the sale of fireworks to licensed shops rather than allowing corner shops and supermarkets to sell them, where kids can easily obtain them by getting dumb adults to buy them on their behalf.
Only a few weeks ago there was talk about fireworks being sold all year round. The world`s gone mad
Anyone thoughts??

Do you both think that firworks sould only be aloud on 5th of nov or are other festivals aloud to have them at other times of year?
Don`t get me wrong I think there should be more controls but you can go to far. Baning fireworks will not make the tossers how had you up a 3.30 am more conciderate. With a bit of respect for others blah blah blah yackaty shmakaty. I think you get my drift.
All the best,

Ps: Fireworks are all ready aloud to be sold all year round from licenced outlets.

aww movie..don`t be picky :-).....anyway, yes..several festivals tend to have fireworks, whether by tradition or just cos they`re fun (Diwali being one of the notable times of year ..around November/December I think). All that needs doing to those who let them off in built up areas at unsociable times is for someone to burn down their homes and then tie the culprits to bonfires. This would keep everyone warm as well.

I live next to a lake and forest, and under 5 minutes away from a school. Needless to say I`ve heard the odd firework already, but its early days yet. Kids regularly buy loads of fireworks after school and then come and play with them round the forest next door, very annoying.
Luckily my dog isn`t scared of them at all, in fact when back gardens have displays on and we are walking along the street outside she seems to enjoy looking up at the pretty ones.
The various dog waste bins however hate fireworks, and at least half of them are completely destroyed during this time of year thanks to little turds putting in lit fireworks with the other little turds for a laff. It`s a shame they can so easily do this without having to pay for the damage afterwards. :/

You wouldn`t believe how bad it is in Camden, these little fukers chase each other round shooting them at each other ( I hope they take each others heads off ) It goes on constantly about one every ten seconds for weeks. I`m not a killjoy, but as far as I`m concerned the pillocks on my estate are old enough to be out joyriding or injecting something rather than spunking there dough on this s***e. I`d like to strap an air-bomb repeater to there arsees.

TBH it pi**es me off that the period of sale of fireworks is now growing year on year especially as now we will have to sedate our dog for the next five or six weeks :-(
Having said that maybe the nuisance caused increases dramatically by age :-)
