I think the polls made the forums look too wide on 800x600 as they wouldn`t resize. I`ve made a small change to help, which hopefully will make things more normal, but not 100%.

I have my monitor set to 1024x768, the forum used to leave a gap down the right hand side, but now it fills the screen like others do. Looks much better, but guess at 800x600 you`ll have a horizontal scroll bar now do you?

A lot of sites do seem to be tailoring themselves for 1024 now I`ve noticed.

Mark.

Getting my mates old 17 inch monitor tomorrow for £20 - he bought the 19inch one from Aldi for £130 today.

Then I can set it to 1024!!!!!

My mate is borrowing my laptop tomorrow to do a presentation for the BBCi on why they are going to upgrade their web-site to cater for 1024 screen resolutions.

If you`ve visited the BBCis web-site (in a 1024 resolution) you`ve probably noticed the large amount of `white space` down the right hand side. This should hopefully be going soon...

Personally I`ve never been a big fan of this and much prefer `tables` filling 100% of the screen rather then the 779pixels you can currently fit on the screen safely.

[EDIT] - If anyone read my other thread on how to remove all sign of pr0n from your computer then this is the reason why... :-)
