Only Fools and Horses, and I`m pished!

Well, it is Christmas. Heh heh heh.

Just watched 10 mins of only fools and horses, crap. Most overrated rubbish on TV in my opinion. Am I odd ?

I think you are odd. I watched it all and this particular episode like many others was brilliant. Just when you thought they ran out of ideas, the bbc have come up with this brilliant christmas present. At one point I think i was crying with laughter. Hope they keep on making them. Long live TITCO.
Regards,
GARY :D

Sherlock Holmes Looks good as well. I will definetly watch that tomorow.
Hats Off to the BBC, they have a much better xmas schedule than ITV, channel 4 and five put together.

In general I thought it was pretty good. The only downfall for me was the "asylum seeker" who stayed with Del. I personally have had enough of Asylum Seekers and don`t wish to see them anymore than I already do, especially in classic British TV shows.

Adam Walby.

i love ofah,i have most of them on dvd, and watch them regulary, they have great repeat viewing, but to be honest last years one was poor, i recently watched it again and i thought it was a bit better but still bad, and im sorry to say i thought this years one was just as bad, maybe even worse than last years after this first viewing. they should either stop, or make a series of 6, 30 mins episodes because these hour plus ones dont work. and why after a year havent they changed damiens ` ali g ` impersonation or whatever its supposed to be. that was out of date last year! sorry.

I`m sorry, I agree ... it was poor. It consisted of old playground jokes and tired old cliches. The old good bit was Uncle Albert`s reunion, which was only put in to set up the trip to France.

How many of the cast have to die before they stop making these "Specials"?

And why did Boycies hair still smell of onions (poor joke BTW) when he was staying at Del`s. He left his house with no possessions. Surely he doesn`t carry his "hair gunk" with him?

Why did the BBC announcer refer to this mediocre effort as a "Christmas present"? I was under the impression that I`d already paid for it. Are the BBC suggesting that WE haven`t funded this self-indulgent nonsense (complete with its patronising "asylum seeker" subplot) with our licence fees?

Wasn`t Dwight Frye an old Universal Horror Pictures actor? He was in Frankenstein right?

Anyways, OFAH seems to have lost something. It really should have ended when they became millionaires. To dig up all the actors again (minus the obvious) just really ruins my memories of the program. It just no longer has the great charm it used to have, and the jokes were pretty poor - I just hope the final episode is a good finisher.

I enjoyed it - it was funnier than last year`s, at any rate - and it was as good as John Sullivan could have made it under the circumstances. Obviously, any new episode of OFAH could never live up to the series` mid-80s peak, and I wasn`t expecting it to.

The thing is, even a bad OFAH episode is so vastly superior to most of what passes for "comedy" on the BBC these days that it seems churlish to grumble. I mean, can anyone seriously say they`d rather have watched My Hero than this? Given the lack of decent new sitcoms, it`s no wonder the BBC keeps flogging their dead horse.

Mike

i agree that an average ofah is better than most, dont even mention my hero or whatever the crap is called. but when we have alan partrige, phoenix nights etc then this offering of ofah was just plain bad, thank god for the dvds of the series, at least they hold upto repeat viewings.
