Page 1 of Problem Disk or Player ???

My region 2 copy of "6th Sense" when played on the Warfdale 750S has bands of white stripes down the left of the screen, and green ones down the right, but it used to work on my old Warfdale 750. Can DVD disks develop a fault, could it be something the last person to borrow it has done or is it a player problem. Any help advice appreciated. Thanks.

THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THAT IT IS THE PLAYER. I HAVE NOT GOT THAT DISC, BUT I HAVE JAWS R1, THE THING R2 & MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 1 R2. ALL THESE PLAYED FINE ON THE 750, BUT I HAD LOADS OF TROUBLE WITH THE 5.1 SOUND ON THE 750s.

IN THE END I GOT A REFUND AND BOUGHT A PIONEER - NO PROBS.

I agree, it`s highly unlikely the disc would cause the player to act in such a way - have you tried any other discs on the 750S ?

Yes I have, this is the only one that this happens with. Has anyone else suffered a simular problem.
