Is there anyone out there who likes Saddam? Anyone who has a good word for him? A long shot I know but with some of the views on this forum I wouldn`t bet against it. Personally I can`t wait for the day when they carry the evil bastard out of a hole in Baghdad in about 18 pieces.

Everyone who had sold weapons to this s***ball thinks he`s OK, his account is always payed in full.

I don`t believe for a moment that Saddam is OK. I do, however, realise that it takes more than one man to slaughter a million civilians. Does anyone seriously believe that everyone involved in the mass genocide will be brought to account? In fact, I`ll wager that the Americans will eventually place one of Saddam`s former underlings in power as a puppet leader.

Here`s a question for you: Do you think that Saddam is solely responsible for atrocities against the Iraqis? I ask this because the names and faces of the people who actually execute his orders don`t seem to matter to a media that loves to demonise a sole villain.

Of course, if Saddam is succeeded by a new leader who isn`t steeped in the blood of Iraqi civilians, you can tell me how wrong I was.

Saddam is an evil bastard, everyone knows this including many Iraqis.

There are many tyranical evil bastards all over the globe, killing their own people. What line do WE draw and say `That`s enough`!?

Many of these type of dictators have been harboured by `Western` democracies after being driven out of their own countries.

The only weapons of mass destruction being used by anyone in the current Iraq conflict is by the coalition forces. If Saddam has them surely now is the time to use them?

When Saddam is deposed, who will take over the role of `President` in Iraq? Some democratic leader who believes in the rebuilding and redistribution of the oil wealth for the good of Iraqis? Dream on!!

History will show you that such things do not happen. It is not a movie with a happy ending.

Since when have the British (or American) public given a damn about what is happening to them (Iraqis)? Certainly not in the last 12 years!

So Saddam`s regime is ended, Donald Rumsfeld is installed as their new President. Who`s next?? What about moving into the Gaza Strip and removing the catapults and peashooters that the Palastinians are using?

Yes, Saddam is EVIL and shows it! Bush is equally EVIL, but hides it under the pretext of liberation!

Assuming he`s still alive, all he will do is shave off the moustash and dissapear. A guy whos lived by his wits for all these years will have an escape route planned, along with his sons.

He will have his blood money already banked in some cushy neutral country, no state pension plan needed.

The world media will likely be shown a burnt out corpse with moustash in a bunker and told, here lies Saddam!! Sound farmiliar?
