Page 1 of X2 - The Washu Opinion
General Forum
After seeing my success in my Animatrix column, I have deceided to start my own little "opinion" column where other people can debate my thoughts. If you disagree with my opinions though, then you are wrong.
Not as good as the first and is trying too hard to be like a soap opera. Why start this big old back story about Wolverine`s past? Do we REALLY care? More to the point, why drag it on through films. As a media, plots like this do not work. In the 2 hours the film lasts, you want for a baddie to try and take over the world but fail.
Also they tried to put too many mutants in and give them their own little plot resulting in 5 mins of Cyclops and 10 mins of Storm (Halle was AWFUL in this one!!!). Don`t even get me started on the stupid love triangle plot!!
Had some nice music though although putting them with the woeful set-pieces was an injustice.
Washu rating: 6/10
hmm not a comic fan obviously do you actually like any superhero movie? or anything else coz i think you seem to enjoy moaning about films more than going to see them!
nuff said.
Well played Washu, I like someone who goes against the grain and doesn`t mind posting semi-negative comments about something that everyone else seems to love, as long as they are mitigated that is...like when I put my problems with X2 into the ring, only to be smothered by Chewie`s "I LOVE X-MEN! I LOVE UGC!" rantings. :)

Washu.. you`re a dick..
starting to think that riks in league with him as well......
to be honest i didnt really think that much of it. ok it was better than the first one, but i thought that was very overrated. even as a summer no brainer it didnt do anything that the first didnt. that was my problem, it felt too similar, no more development. this does feel like it can go on and on, unlike lord of the rings or the matrix which will end after three films. thats no bad thing as it gives time for things to develope, but they missed out on that chance. why was wolverine again seen to be the main focus, i didnt even think he was a mutant, i thought he was some outsider, know he seems to be team leader. why cant they spread the thing around a bit, if they dont there is no need for most of them to be in it. the only two i liked were jean and mystique, but even they werent enough. i think i just missed the whole x men thing as it didnt get me interested.
Washu you`re pretty spot on, as per usual. X2 was OK but not a patch on the first one. Too many characters and too many plot-lines crammed in it. It was a film for casual marketing-victims just like the infamous *Judas*

I agree with HaGGis ;-)
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how wrong it is ;-)
Come on, his opinions and remarks are excellent. I genuinly enjoy reading what he writes and I think he`s got a real way with words. It makes me laugh how it seems like he really believes that his opinions are the final word on everything. :o)
"The Internet is a communication device that allows people the world over to bitch about movies and share pornography with one another."
oh yeah!.. he`s got a real way with words -
"As a media, plots like this do not work. In the 2 hours the film lasts, you want for a baddie to try and take over the world but fail."
not much grasp of the English Language.. but yes.. a real way with words... oh.. and he`s full of crap
