I am one who will stand up for THE BEAR, after seeing some of the other posts on these forums, especially by SHAGGY, I think it is wrong to BAN THE BEAR!

The reason scan owners ganged up on him is that they couldnt defeat his witting comments.

I honestly don`t think "that certain sponsor" would be like that, as he quite openly admits and discusses the certain problems Scan`s have, although I do have to agree, Bear was over the top.

Did Reveiewer do the job? Did they silence Bear themselves? This I do not know...however,

I will join the voices! Bring back Bear (but in a toned down version!! ROFL!!)
Or if nothing else, give him HIS say on HIS side of the story!!

When Bear first leaped out of the woods his style was confrontational to say the least (e.g. calling someone a winker for devising a cunning plan for getting rid of rubbish DVDs and then not backing the allegation up with any sensible argument).

I took great offence at this apparent unprovoked attack and told him what I thought.

However, Bear mellowed as time went on and, hell, even began to make me laugh.

The fact is, Bear speaks the truth as he sees it - that`ll be free speech then. But, by the same token, his approach can be a bit abrasive at times, and the DVD Reviewer guys have posted several warnings this last week about our behaviour on this forum.

I don`t know why Bear`s been banned, but it`s presumably because he`s overstepped the mark with his observational humour. Darned shame, because he was funny.

However, did he ever actually contribute to the forum in a positive manner (i.e. other protagonists such as Dukey, Jimbo and my good self will still offer advice, despite our obvious leanings towards certain players) - I don`t recall Bear ever doing that, guys, and you know that to be true too.

Yes he was good for a laff, but I`m afraid if he was only here to show off his (admittedly brilliant) leftfield humour then he was on the wrong site.

Sorry, but if he overstepped the mark, he had to go : he was warned, I`m sure.

I actually thought Bear Worked for scan as he new so much about how bad the DVD2000 was:)
