Strange emails?

dvd_vicar (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 27th May 2003, 17:40

Got home tonight to find two strange emails in my inbox.
Both from same sender - "website" first was thanking me for my order for sweet potatos which would be with me in 4 to 5 weeks. I very nearly clicked on the hyperlink to reply as it was www.marshalls etc and I know they are seedsmen. But I also noticed the other message from "website" saying that I could order a SKY catalogue.
Deleted both.
Anyone else had any mails like these?

Perhaps they were from Jack Turnip the time travelling duck from the 87th century or A floating sausage with a beard that shoots lightning bolts from its eyes

I`ve been getting a few weird ones lately too. they have legitimate addresses, but the e-mail itself is just bollocks, or points to an attachment that isn`t there.

I`m thinking this harks back to about 6 months ago when there was an e-mail virus warning that was using real return adresses, but contained Klez. I`m guessing the bot program is still out there, but even the most basic virus killer is wiping out the virus.

All - apologies for the spate of mystery emails. It was my rabbit, Bobby...

He`s a crafty little f***er, I`ve caught him at the laptop 3 times now when I`ve got in from work.

I don`t mind him using the computer but I wish he`d admit it`s him that keeps ordering me pizzas and taxis late at night.

I`ve banned him from the laptop now, in fact he`s banned from the house full stop but I watched The Bourne Identity tonight and some f***er`s been at the delay settings on my rear speakers...
