Help Me Connect My DVD Please!!

Ratboy (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 14th January 2001, 18:08

I am totally lost and dont know where to start!
I`ve just bought a DVD player at last- a Toshiba 100e
How do I connect to my other equipement for the best performance?
I have a Toshiba 32WD98B TV,
A Grundig digi-box,
A Panasonic nicam VCR.
The TV also has a Dolby Digital Decoder Built in so do i have to use these digital cable things or will scart cables do the stuff?
I know i sound thick but i am just a beginner in this kind of stuff!!
Please help coz my head is starting to hurt!!

Ratboy,

you`ll need to connect the Digibox to AV1 on the Toshiba as it really needs to use the RGB socket.
Connect the VCR socket of the Digibox to the AV2 socket of the VCR. Connect the AV1 socket of the VCR to AV2 on the Toshiba for playback.
If the DVD player`s scart ouput can be configured for s-video, connect it to AV3 on the TV. If the scart cannot be configured for s-video, check and see it there is an s-video output on the DVD player. If there is, connect that to the s-video input of AV3 on the TV.
Connect the coax digital output from the DVD player to the digital input on the TV.

Hope this helps.
