F***ing pikey car thieves!

Chris Gould (Elite) posted this on Monday, 16th June 2003, 12:07

Only had my car three weeks and this morning I came out to discover that some pikey w***er broke the lock to get in. There was nothing in the car (apart from a crap stereo that is keycoded), and the car was immobalised and StopLocked. The back seats had been pulled down, so they obviously broke in on the off chance that I had the Crown Jewels in the boot. I`ve spent a p***ing fortune on getting a car and insurance in the last few months, and I can`t even claim on the insurance as I`ll lose the n/c bonus.

It`s at times like this I`m reminded of John Travolta in Pulp Fiction. It would almost have been worth it for me to catch them. Then again I`d probably be the one getting done now as that`s the way the law works in this s*** country. A while back I helped stop a car thief and, apart from getting zero thanks from the Old Bill for doing their job for them, the coppers actually tried to fit me up for having computer parts in my house!

Now I have to find a reputable place in Bristol to have the lack/barrel changed (difficult enough) and also get the paintwork and bodywork sorted. The Mrs had the lock cut out of a hire car a while back (only a Ford Ka, or however it`s spelled) and it cost £600 to put right! I just can`t afford that at the moment, so I hope mines not as serious.

Bloody p***ed off. I really would f***ing hammer the little bastards if I could find out who they were. Bah!

Apparently a good trick is to hammer fish hooks straight and solder them to the back of your car radio. Then if pikeys get in and nick it, when they pull it out they get a nasty surprise...

I`m sure the law would frown on this though, unfortunately.

Bastards. That`s all they are. Someone had a go at my car, though they obviously didn`t get in. The drivers door was all scratched around the lock and window. It still is.

If I caught them, I`d castrate them.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how wrong it is ;-)

I take it you`ve reported the incident to `plod` - who have, no doubt, interrupted dishing out parking tickets and are hot on the heels of the culprits? LOL

My neighbour just called me an apparently at least three other cars were done as well. They only got into one of them, and nicked a pair of glasses and a pound... Caused hundreds of pounds of damage to multiple cars for that. F***ing w***ers.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Try to not let the bastards grind you down.

All the best,

In over 30 years driving I coudn`t count the cars both private and company, ranging from old bangers to BMW and Mercedes that I have driven.
The one thing is that is consistent no matter where I have lived is every single one has had some degree of vandalism, from broken aerials to the body work being keyed or scratched.

I reckon the reason for all of this grief is the have/ have not culture that exists in Britain, in other countries people will admire a nice car, knowing you have worked hard to own it, here its more" if I cant have one you ain`t going to get any pleasure from it mate " and the little morons use the sharpened key or screwdriver they keep especially for the job.

No wonder so many talented people are considering escape plans away.

P.

This I see happening outside my window three or four times a day. I phone the police each time it is about to happen. they NEVER appear, just pretend to take my call, I feel.

When it comes to car crime (and any other minor crime where they cant use a speeding device) the police are about as helpful as a heart attack. Makes me wonder whats the point having a nice motor when it only attracts morons intent on making life misrible for the owner?
