Monday Morning Funny,Dem Magic Sandals
Enjoy
A married couple was on holiday in Pakistan.
They were touring around the market place looking at the goods and such, when they passed this small sandal shop. From inside they heard a gentleman with a Pakistani accent say, "You`re foreigners! Come in! Come into my humble shop." So the married couple walked in. The Pakistani man said to them, "I have some special sandals I think you would be interested in. Dey make you wild at sex, like a great desert camel?? Well, the wife was really interested in buying the sandals after hearing what the man claimed, but her husband felt he really didn`t need them, being the sex god he was.
The husband asked the man, "How could sandals make you into a sex freak?"
The Pakistani man replied, "Just try dem on,
Sahib." With that, after much badgering from his wife, finally conceded to
try them on. As soon as he slipped them onto his feet, he got this wild
look in his eyes; something his wife hadn`t seen in many years.... raw
sexual power. In the blink of an eye, the husband grabbed
the Pakistani man, bent him violently over a table, yanked down his
pants, ripped down his own pants, and grabbed a firm hold of the Pakistani`s thighs. The Pakistani began screaming:"YOU GOT DEM
ON THE WRONG FEET !! YOU GOT DEM ON THE WRONG BLOODY FEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Sorry, I don`t find this funny - am I alone in finding it slightly offensive?
Inclined to agree Rich, the " joke" works as well ( perhaps even better ) by removing the nasty racial overtones.

Sorry if you found it racial,it wasn`t ment to be.
The fact it had Pakistani rather than Packi seemed ok.
Apoigies.
Out of curiosity if it was a scot (me)or an Irishman would it be ok,I`m not being a smart arse asking, just wondering.
RE: Monday Morning Funny,Dem Magic Sandals
If it had been about a Yorkshireman and had phrases like "Ey` Up", "nowt" and you had referred to the vendor being tight (as in financially) I wouldn`t have taken offence and still would have chuckled but I`m sure some poor delicate would have have seen this as an affront to them and screamed the race card at you. Our family has Irish, Welsh & English in it so if I was that way inclined, I`d have to spend all day being put down and offended by freinds, colleagues and family!
ATB...F...
I didn`t find it offensive really, and there weren`t any real racial undetones - I suppose the Pakistani setting was used for the camel purpose. The joke ain`t that great BTW, but I guess it`s OK...

I wasn`t aware that Pakistan was a country full of camels and deserts - surely another country would have been a more appropriate setting for the joke.
Not trying to make a big fuss, or come over "holier than thou" - as you say Rik - it`s not that good a joke anyway....

As you are probably aware I am Scottish ( and fiercely proud of it,) I am equally aware that all jokes have a national, regional, gender even age bias( thats how it works, we laugh at and with people different from ourselfs ), but jokes which define others as stupid or inferior have probably had their day.
We should always be able to laugh at ourselfs, and that perhaps is the yardstick by which jokes with racial content should be judged, as you say if the stupid anally penetrated shopkeeper was a Scot with a shop in the Old Town in Edinburgh would you have found it as amusing ?
There is nothing personal in my response, ( Indeed anything which brightens Monday mornings scores highly ) its simply that a public forum read by children as well as us oldsters may require posts to have a little forethought.

Y`know, its kind of insulting to homosexuals while we`re at it. I mean the "wrong" feet? Wrong as in "accursed of God"? "Morally" wrong? =)
