According to my sources, the DVD industry are scrapping RCE, cost it`s kak. Too many players have a work around and it`s costing them too much money to press it onto the disc`s etc. Has anybody heard anything to back me up..........

Its probably just another rumour. However I suspect that the cost of making RCE discs is minimal, its not a particularly hard thing to do once you`ve setup whatever templates you use for making menu systems on DVDs.

But if it was to be scrapped, it would be down to the impact on sales. Whilst studios in Europe dont like R1 imports, I doubt the US arms care at all as long as they are making sales.
