Page 1 of More than 1 copy of a disc...

I was just wondering if this had happened to any of you...

I bought Bound (excellent) from WHSmiths a while back, and got 2 copies of it. I was pretty suprized by that. So I sold the spare to one of my friends for £15. Got nearly all my money back. Any one else got weird goings on? Like buying Saving Private Ryan and getting a Private Benjamin disc instead (this also happened to me in Our Price.)

Strange that you should mention this just now, today. I was just about to start a thread to ask a similar question regarding a disc I got today.

Today I got Alien (R2) from Gameplay and when I opened the cardboard box I found the Alien box wasnt shrink wrapped (thank god). When I opened it up I found that there were 2 discs inside, the film Alien plus the Alien Legacy disc.

I thought that disc was only found in the Legacy box set thing. Maybe this disc was taken out of the Legacy box set (thus explaining the lack of shrink wrap for once). I havent read in any reviews anywhere that Alien was a 2 disc set, so I was wondering if I was just lucky or what. Am I? Whats going on?

This was quite a common occurrence when Alien first came out. The Alien Legacy disk was included as a bonus disc in the box set, and the way this was done was to put it inside the Alien box.

Some stores started putting these discs out on shelves etc. and quite a few people got the Legacy disk as a free bonus!

Guess it was worth waiting for it then.

Strange though, Gameplay said it was out of stock. How could it have been out of stock yet they send me and old copy, taken from the Legacy box.

Or something in that direction.
