Has anyone got tips for holidaying in the Dominican Republic?
We are of to there at the end of this month.
Do our dual band mobiles work there or do you need a tri-band phone?
what voltage is the mains there?

Drink the rum its cheap and some of it is good.
Good diving , horse riding and windsurfing in season!

i`ve not bin but my girlfriend has bin twice. same as usa, tri-band phone and 110v supply. she sed it was nice, but u can`t really go out of d hotel much cos it`s such a poor country. wot hotel u stoppin at? is it all-inclusive??

Which to take i.e. travellers chqs, sterling pound notes or any other currency (inorder to get the best exchange rates.)
