Just got a text saying `Thanks to a good friend you have won £2000. To claim ring 0871xxxxxxx . Calls charged at 10p a minute. BT National Rate.
The reason i ask advice is the low rate on the call, normally the scams are £1.50+ a minute. Should I call this from my land line to make sure?
Maybe the website of the premium rate phoneline watchdog - ICSTIS - will be able to confirm the price-band of the 0871 prefix before you call it.
