scart type macrovision buster sold in glasgow- anybody used one?

clydewide (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 11th February 2001, 17:53

the heading says it all.
i have found a shop in glasgow at " the barras " which sells this type of device, it looks like a normal scart lead except at one end it has an input for an adapter to power it.
i would like to hear from anyone who has used this type of device normally seen for sale on the internet.

i would ecspecially like to know if it disables macrovision on R1 discs

thanx

ive got one its scart to scart with an input at one end to input a 9v dc adaptor it has a small pcb in one end macrovision is disabled all together but your player must be able to output pal 50 from a ntsc pal 60 disc otherwise the copy will shudder due to frequency shift try www.sonel.com they are 25.00 but you dont get the adaptor with it
