Cheap ferry/crossing fares to France - do you know any?

niteowl (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 11th May 2004, 19:10

I`m looking to sail to (St. Malo/Brittany area) France with the car & Family. Can you recommend any cheap fares or codes/promotions please?

Thanks

Niteowl

Niteowl - just presume this in the peak (summer hols ) season - if so you have trouble. There was a large article in the Sunday Times about a new service starting - unfortunately for you the wrong side of the country, unless you don`t mind the drive. Another website to try is this - you may be lucky St Malo`s not as popular as the Dover-Calais run.

I`ve heard that www.speedferries.co.uk are very cheap if booked in advance and if you are not a day tripper.

Thanks for help.

I had tried speedferries but they don`t go to St Malo which means a 6 hrs + journey to our destination.
I`m just checking P & O someont said they had a promotion on or special rates.

Niteowl

p.s. i couldn`t get the sunday times link to work. :(

Apologies Niteowl - the Sunday Times site is a site only accessible by registering ( should have thought of that :/ ) - the article was just about Speedferries anyway. Have a look on the moneysavingexpert website in the travel forum bound to be a thread on ferry crossings.
