Recording to video from Wharfedale DVD-750

SANDEEP (Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 2nd September 2000, 17:06

Hello. I`m new to this DVD lark. I`ve just bought a Wharfedale DVD750 and tried to record to video. Unfortunately, I wasn`t able to with color distortion and the picture being very dark.
Is there some kind of hack I can use to get around this problem?
Thanks for your help.

the only way to disable the macrovision that your getting is by means of a specially fitted chip also known as hardware hack, there is a handset hack for your player (check the region hacks section on this site), however i dont think that this can disable the macrovision.
Im also new at this but if u read these forums you`ll soon pick it up :)

best places ive found for getting dvd players chipped are:
http://www.techtronics.com/ttn/shop/index.html
or
http://www.upgradeheaven.co.uk/

try them out, you`ll also get the bennefit of multiregion capability from the hardware mod (although the handset hack offers this as well)

if you get it hacked it will invalidate your warranty.

Currently their is no remote hack for macrovision disable.

You could try buying an external macrovision disabler (lektropacks see them I think)
