Even though I am a lifelong Albion fan, he has got exactly what he deserved.

SIX YEARS ! Don`t get me wrong he`s got what he deserves, it just came as a major surprise when you consider other similar road deaths/tragedies where the offending person gets a slap on the wrists. Was actually going to say that he must have been sober when he did it as the drunken ones seem to get away with it, but he only turned himself in 36 hours after the event and the judge said he knew he probably would have failed the breathalyzer. Food for thought.

But then you have to start asking yourself why so many "famous" peopleget away with stuf that "normal" people don`t....

...I think that, only recently, there was a thread on here about how a judge got away lightly for kiddie images on his hard drive when people who weren`t in a position of resposibility would get double immediately.

He did the crime - he does the time. Simple as surely?

6 Years isn`t long enough and fair play to WBA for booting him ;)

He was lucky he didn`t get the maximum 14 years. The sooner the government change `death by dangerous driving` to `manslaughter` the better.

My brother is a solicitor and according to him six years is about the `going rate` for this kind of offense. He made it much worse for himself by not pleading guilty when it was totally obvious that he was.

My bro also chatted to some of the police that were involved and not one of them had a good word to say about him. They all knew that he was guilty of it but he was still as arrogant as you would imagine a footballer to be. End of career for the ginger one but hey, end of life for the person he drove into. Hardly a fair swap is it...
