Me, £200 Philips DVDr75 last Xmas.

It was in 2000, for about £160 a Mico multiregion macro-free player - absolutely massive and weighs a ton compared to machines you get now.

£180 for a Wharfedale DVD-750 from Tesco, in early 2000. It was just about the cheapest player you could get at the time, and Tesco`s used to run out of stock the day a new shipment arrived. Sheesh, I was so excited... :p

Ooh, I`m winning so far. £250(!) for my LG back in December `00.

£160 for a Panasonic A160 (or something) back in October 2000. Still works, but was replaced in summer 2003 with a Toshiba SD330 multi-region (£80).
