We had a complaint.

Of course it`s a subject with a number of nuances - what might be offensive in one situation might not be in another. I would in this case however liken the unnecessary use of the term `yid` to that of `n*****` - what reaction would you have expected to a thread entitled "calling all n*****s" ?!

They might use it themselves, but so do some blacks use the N word. I do NOT want to start some great debate about this - I`m sure we`ve all had that before - I just determined that the use of the term was unnecessary, gratuitous, and had clearly caused some offense, so I removed it.

In defense of bowfer, us Spurs fans refer to ourselves as Yids (or Yiddos) - as do other supporters. Its not actually meant in a derogatory way, just purely a bit of fun. Check any Spurs forum to see what I mean. ;)

I can understand why you changed the title, because of a complaint, but I just think people need to lighten up on this forum. It`s all getting a little serious as of late. :(

Anyway back to the original subject. Apparently Edson Silva Rolando Sousa was a great prospect when he was 16-17, but had a major injury that set him back. He`s not been playing first team football for a while, though has been a reserve regular. His record in the reserves is pretty good, and I think he`s actually a half decent player. He just wasn`t what we needed at the moment, and with Mido coming in that explains his departure.

Might have been an idea to get him on trial up here.
I`ll be in two minds when he plays for Hearts.
Normally I`d want him snapped in two,but not if it hurts his Spurs career...
