Page 1 of LG3200E Region hack probs

Hello

I`ve entered the 314159 region hack for the player and it lets me load R1 discs fine- however after loading the colour picture is continuously jumping with three flickering images on screen at the same time. The switch at the back is set currently to "auto". Can somebody give me a detailed description as to how to get round this? The player works fine when I swich it off and then enter "2" just to play R2 discs so the problem isn`t a permanent one. The firmware is OK as its 1.3.

Hi there,

Try setting the switch at the back to PAL, then go into
the setup menu and select PSUEDO PAL, this may
help.

If not, try selecting NTSC on the back of the player.

BTW, what TV do you have ? is it NTSC 60Hz compatible ?
I recently had to return a TATUNG 28"W/Screen because it
wouldn`t accept a 60 Hz signal from my Dreamcast, when I tried
a 60 Hz signal the picture shifted halfway across the screen!!
This also happened when I tried a R1 DVD, but was remedied when
I selected PAL & PSUEDO PAL settings

WHICH AV SOCKET ON YOUR TV IS THE DVD PLUGGED INTO?
AV1 IS FULLY WIRED WHERE AS AV2 OR 3 AREN`T. THIS MEANS
THAT ALTHOUGH PAL DVD`S ARE OK ONLY AV1 CAN CONVERT YOUR REGION1 PLAYBACK PROPERLY
