Page 1 of Is Denver, USA worth visiting?

I am going to be travelling around the USA and just wondered whether anybody had been to Denver and surrounding areas and whether this is a good place to spend some time. I would be most grateful for some input.

funnily enough, that`s where I went last September, and was my first trip to the States. Unfortunately it was only for work and onyl for 4 days so saw none of tyhe city of surrounding arears. What I did get the impression of though, was that it would be a great place to base yourself if you want to visit the Rockies for example..and you can`t miss them in that place...three directions conpletely flat, one direction..the Rockies :-)...quite an impressive sight even from a distance.

Not much to go on I know, but I`m sure there are others here who have been and have had a chance to see more of the place.

My collection

ive been there and although it was over ten years ago i found it to be a pretty vibrant city. the stadium there the mile high stadium is pretty spectacular and of course youre only a stones throw from the rockies..
