Page 1 of WHATS GONE WRONG?????????

I work in a little video shop that also rents a small number of D.V.Ds. I get a lot of members asking for their money back as the disk (which always works in my player) didnt work in theirs.
Could you wonderful people help out and let me know what disks(R2 only) didnt play in which players.

No, in a word ! Sorry if that`s a bit terse, but I think I`ll be saving you a whole world of pain : you will be quite literally inundated. The information wouldn`t be that useful to you, either, as some players are capable of having firmware upgrades that fix the compatibility issues. There would be no way you could ever get a complete and 100 % accurate list - trying to keep on top of it all would be a full-time job !

What may be better would be for you to do a little research here at the Reviewer forums - if, as you say, you only stock a handful of DVDs then you could easily pop the titles into the `Search` box at the top of the facility, select `all forums` and watch the results come a-floodin` in !

There are commonly known faults such as `Disney DVD` products which, as another visitor correctly pointed out, isn`t actually the worldwide `DVD` we all know and love.

This may be better all round - you`ll thank me in the end, honest... People, be nice to Vamp, and don`t bombard him !

Sounds like they`re yanking your chain. There are a small number of players (e.g. Wharfedale) and a small number of discs (e.g. those with DVD-ROM content) that are incompatible. Everything else is just a p*ss take. Do they get their money back? Do you rent a second movie free?
