General Forum
Some idiot on ebay has nicked my picture and item description. I contacted those lazy idiots who run ebay 3 times and they have not replied or done anything about it.
Not only did this idiot buy from me, they also chose to start selling the very same item I sell. I do not have a problem with a bit of competiton but when users steal your picture and item description, it clearly shows they are taking the p***. >:(
I`ve also had that problem, so on all my photo`s i now put the text "Photo property of <auction account name> -- No stealing" or something.. so they can`t really borrow it without looking a fool and dodgy.
Not much you can do for the descriptions though.
good idea about naming and shaming,
I have watermarked my pics since then but the idiot seller still has the orginal pic.
Here is the theiving sharlatans email and address.

I know you are p***ed off, but by posting his full name and address you are in breach of the Data Protection Act, and could land this website in serious trouble, and damage your reputation as a seller.

RE: THIEVING IDIOTS ON EBAY
Hi,
I`ve had that happen to me so I just posted an ANGRY MESSAGE IN CAPS, (asking what to do about the people/person who stole my carefully written description and picture), in the ebay selling/buying forum- it made my item sell for much more then it would have & the idiot who copied my description didn`t sell their item. I suppose it didn`t help their case that they had copied my user name as well, which was also in the long item description... :D
Anyway I think that if someone copied and pasted your description (that you wrote yourself), you can prob contact eBay and complain, but I doubt they will do anything? :(
Well if the item description they use is accurate then they are being honest ebayers...Would you prefer to buy a item from a seller with a honest description, cant see what you are moaning about,I bet you moaners have all done an illegal MP3 download at some time.
