Dixons have a (now rapidly decreasing) selection of DVD`s at £7.99.

I just got Aliens Speical Edition, Entrapment Special Edition, Dune, and a Friends DVD for less than £32!!

The ranges vary from store to store apparently, but notable DVDs include:

Good/bad/ugly
fistful of dollars
few dollars more
Alien Resurection
X Files - the movie
Lethal Weapon
Die Hard
Die Hard 2
Pocahontas (!?)

I`m sure everyone would be fascinated to hear where that branch is.

I`ve just been to my local branch of Dixons (Holborn Circus) and they certainly did NOT have any good deals. Your branch must be closing down or having a refit or something.

my local Currys has a range of about 20 titles at £7.99 or 3 for £15 but I went into Dixons today and they had nothing on offer at all.

"I`ll be back" tomorrow though to see whether that`s changed.

Got the tip from DVD times, quite a few people are finding this deal.

Could be right on the refit front, apparently there are quite a few stores going through this.

Don`t despair - they do exist, just luck of the draw how recent your Dixons is.

I can confirm this... Heat, Aliens (SE), Wild Wild West and Romeo & Juliet, was my selection. There was a choice from about 20, not the same as in the first message in this thread but similar.

The shop guy said all Dixons branches should be in on it, depending on stock levels. They do have stocks too, it is not just what`s on display.

Dixons in Bath are doing it as well but unfortunatley they had a pretty crap selection.

It is all stores, it seems they are getting rid of old stocks, you will notice all the dvds on offer are the ones that they have stored outside the case. So make sure you check them for scratches and any other damage.


I got The Last Broadcast, Drop Zone, Wishmaster and The Iron Giant for £7.99 each. All in perfect condition with no scratches or fingerprints (first time I ever saw a cashier handle dvds properly)
They had loads more on offer but I already had them all.

They also have some of the Farscape boxes for £7.99 (RRP £24.99)

The offer does not apply to the lastest releases. But some of the titles marked at full price scan at £7.99, so it is worth checking.
