I don`t know if custom will stop it but www.dvdboxoffice.com has a department that sell them, you can try to buy it from them. Custom can`t check all of the DVDs coming through.

i`ve never ordered any but if its in a normal evelope they dont normally check unless they suspect that the value of the product to be higher than £18 if the retailer u buy from puts adult dvd on the customs sticker, then they might open it. Also companies like to include return addresses on the envelope and this includes the name of the company. You should really speak to IRONDUKE as he is the expert on this subject and has ordered loads of discs. Infact i think he has more adult discs than normal. lol j/k

Some US sites will not allow you to checkout if you buy hardcore and your address is UK. I think DVDBO is one of them, but I haven`t checked recently.

Don`t go to Vidshop.com unless you like waiting 3 months plus for your disks.

Did you know that WHSmith do adult stuff (like `debbie does dallas` etc)
look thru their entire catalog to find stuff.

"received loads of high quality hardcore porn in the post " - OK, did you order a few boxes of tissues too?

Hardcore p0rn isn`t actually illegal in this country any more (provided it only depicts consensual sex etc)... what`s illegal is importing anything that hasn`t been through the BBFC, which could equally apply to Noddy and Big Ears if they haven`t seen it (and no, I don`t mean `Noddy and big Ears do Dallas`).

www.adultdvdboxoffice.com will post stuff out. No problems with customs (apparently!) - I think the envelope said `Optical media` on it. It came through in about the same time as other stuff I`ve ordered from there.

Go for it.

As a matter of fact, importing movies without BBFC approval isn`t illegal at all. You just can`t sell them on once they`re on British soil. It IS illegal to sell videos or disks that don`t carry the BBFC markings on the box and media label, and the law doesn`t differentiate between mucky and mainstream movies.

There is nothing to stop you importing any subject of disk from any region, provided the subject matter doesn`t overstep the BBFC`s R18 criteria. The movie does not have to have been through the BBFC at all. Forbidden subjects are not really suitable discussion, but suffice to say any extreme fetishistic subjects are frowned upon.

Most of the reputable R1 dealers (either mucky or mainstream movies) ship disks in their original cases and slicks, packed in standard Jiffy bags and send via EU countries for Customs-friendliness. Some dealers will play along with borderline orders, shipping them in envelopes without boxes, but frankly if you`re trying to import something nasty I`ve no sympathy.

HMC&E have the right to open any package as it passes through the major mail centres (to be precise, the Royal Mail open the packages for them and they decide whether to confiscate or not). The ratio of intercepts to let-throughs is very low.

If you keep the value of the package below £18 (incl. p&p), the package will escape any duty under EU quotas.
