Page 1 of Where can i find a region free firmware for my dvd rom drive?

I have a Pioneer DVD Rom dvd 105 1.22 version. Where can i find a firmware that will enable me to view all regions. My dVD rom is locked at region 1 now.

There`s a thread somewhere around here with a load of links to firmware sites for DVD drives. I think it`s in the Hack forum. I`ll see if I can find it for you...

AHA!!! Found it! Only had to go back around 10 pages or so of the archives and spend 20 mins or so sifting through! :) I MUST be bored or something.

Just be carefull when hacking your machine as the majority of the Region Free hacks are not official and if you bugger your drive you won`t be covered for repairs/replacement by the warranty.

Thanks for your reply i found the site but i still don`t know which program i have to download there. Must i download a RPC - 1 firmware. And how will i change the firmware.

I think youve downloaded the wrong file,the rpc1 file is for drives that are already rpc1,you should download the file that has the same number as your firmware,and I dont know if that will even work on a locked drive,I flashed mine while there was still changes left,you may have to format to get the changes back but do they come back when it has been locked?

Also if anyone has Zoransoftdvd I have the registry hack for it to make the changes go from 5 up to 293,194,746 that should be enough to keep you going for a while lol
