Page 1 of Ebay feedback query

Bought an item for my car off e-bay.
It came quick enough,but I haven`t got round to fitting it yet.
Getting hassled to post feedback though.
I`m reluctant to give positive feedback as it could,when fitted,be a pile of crap and make the car run badly.

What`s the best move ?
Neutral feedback ?

To be honest, it`s very bad form hassling people to give feedback. What exactly are they doing, as there are ebay rules to do with feedback. Watch out if you give them poor feedback, they sound like the type to give you a retailiatory one. Best bet is to wait until the last minute that feedback is possible, and do it then :D

No wait till you fit it,tell them you will leave feedback when you have checked the item out, Thats what I do,though I have never been hasseld for feedback either.

Its not the seller.
It`s ebay sending me automated messages saying feedback is due.
There is a time limit.
I`ve had it nearly a fortnight,but I`m not being rushed into fitting it just to satisfy frikkin ebay.

Ive been in this situation before. The item came really quickly, but my PC was out of action for a while so I didnt get chance to test it.

Since the seller had delivered so quickly I left positive feedback saying;

A+ coms & Speed. Feedback for delivery only. Item still untested.

Which I thought was only fair it wasnt his fault my PSU had blown.

Actually,here`s another feedback question for you.
There`e no harm in telling you it`s a tuning box I`ve bought,for a diesel car.
Now,someone here is trying to tell me I`m only allowed to leave feedback based on the seller`s service,which was excellent.
What if the box makes the car run like crap though ?
Surely I`m allowed to say that,and warn future buyers ?

Or is feedback purely about your postage talents and sod the quality of the product ?!?!? :/ :/ :/

If his auction was for a tuning box that clearly stated that it will improve the
performance/MPG of your diesel and then you find out that it doesn`t, then you can
give feedback suitably.

Note that even with such a claim, whether the tuning boxx actually works will alos
depend upon if you cock-up the installation.

If his auction merely states that it is a tuning box (with no guarantees) then it is to
be fitted at your own risk, then feedback should be based on his prompt delivery of your
item.

If, in my case, the item had been faulty I would have tried to resolve it with the seller and if that was fruitless, ask ebay to withdraw the feedback.

Has the seller negged you yet? because I probably would have by now.
