Last one on the shelf`s full price.......

Karlos (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 5th July 2001, 19:20

I have seen The THING on sale in HMV in Sheffield for £12.99 ( sale price ), this was on the computer system, they did not actually have one on stock however when I asked.
When I went back to Hull HMV, they did have one, at full price ( £19.99 ). I asked the bloke in the shop if it was in the sale, as I had seen it cheaper in Sheffield, and he said no, as it was the last one in the shop they could only sell it ( by law ) at the full price.
Has anybody else heard about this law also? or is the shop talking crap.

Cheers

Karl

Come on, what do you think? :-)

Next time you`re in, tell him that under the Shopkeeper Talking Bollocks Act of 1692 he`s obliged to give you the DVD for free.

Right then, Mike G`s answer is the one for me.

I`m off in town on Saturday, Bollocks manual at the ready.

I`ll let you know what happens.....

LOL Karl !!!

If that bollocks manual is the same one I`ve been using for the last 34 years of my life it should be a breeze, mate !

Incidentally, were you aware that the £12.99 `The Thing`, er, thing is available online at http://www.hmv.co.uk.

For £1.40 p & p, I`d cut down on my adrenaline intake for the peace of mind.

But then, that`s just my humble opinion...
