Car Parking Near To City Of Manchester Stadium for OASIS GIG?? HELP

davidnorthallerton (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 30th June 2005, 20:52

For Saturday 2 July for OASIS gig.

Going by car from the North East and wondered if anyone could offer any advice on where is the closest is my main priority due to disability.

Parking in the Stadium is only available if I had a blue sticker which I dont have from council as yet.

Any info really appreciated

Thank you

do you have an obvious disability? ie missing leg etc??

The kind car parking staff might allow you to park in the stadium...

Roads were blocked for hours last time with U2, I live 2 mls away and hate Oasis scally scumbags that they are and only hope there is a massive thunder storm on the first night which repeatly strikes the stage melting the band ooooo I is wicked lol :o

Parking as usual is left to the local drug lords and mafia to sort out so best of luck....

Well funny ya mention it, she does have a leg missing (a false one is there as a substitute tho, but still dont think they would allow us to park without blue badge??

well im going sunday and what im doing is: at the end of the manc way you go under some arches and at the cross roads go straight on. then at the next set of lights turn right. at the bottom of the next road, the road running past it heads down to the stadium but go over it onto a side road where you can park for free!! hope that makes sense...

David,
I would still try getting in the stadium without the blue badge.

Hope you have a great night but there is loads of parking with the blokes in yellow jackets enticing you in.
