Went to the "Memorabilia" fair at the NEC, Birmingham at the weekend -

Me with Elizabeth Sladen (Doctor Who`s "new" companion Sarah Jane Smith). She was soooo nice - really friendly and chatty (I think I`m in love... :x ).

Some of the things she mentioned -

- she wasn`t allowed to talk about the new series at all, but she did say she hasn`t started filming yet

- hadn`t heard any more news about K9 being in the new series

- she was really thrilled to have been approached by the producers and said they contacted her because they wanted something/someone to connect the new series to the old

- was worried that the new fans and paper might think she`s too old for the new series (I told her she`d got nothing to worry about there - she looks great!)

- she said she liked my Hulk T-shirt!

Me with Mr Dalek (who played urm...a Dalek)

Frazer Hines (Jamie) - top bloke!

Sladen went onto have a Spin Off show with K9

Frazer then went onto "Emmerdale Farm"

God,these things remind of Victorian Carnivals.

Seriously,how degrading must it be to have people walk past you,staring ?
I bet they hate the fact they have to scrape a living doing this now.
Mind you,one could also argue it`s their own fault for trying to cash-in on past fame,rather than just accepting their day has gone and finding other things to do.
£15 for a signed photo ?
Buy the photo and sign it yourself...who`s going to know ?
