You can`t beat futurent.com for Region 1 - especially if you`re just starting your collection.
You have to manually trawl through the bargain section tho. , if you just search for a title it will bring up the full price one.

There were a couple of posts re "what sites have you got bookmarked" a little while ago - have a root for them... should set you up nicely. I highly recommend the Australian sites - some v. cheap prices.
Try http://www.ezydvd.com.au and http://www.devoted.com.au for starters.

also http://www.xe.com/ucc/ for currency conversions

Be V.careful with imports tho` and check shipping & delivery carefully.
Aussie sites also add sales tax (GST around 10%) to their site prices so if you deduct 9% from the prices you`ll see even cheaper deals. Buy R1 stuff in Canadian Dollars if you can - it sometimes works out cheaper.

Try to keep import buys to 1 or 2 - generally below £18 (or £36 if the package has `GIFT` declared on the label) or big bad bod from Her Maj`s (very fine) Customs & Excise will dump another 21% on top of the cost, with the Post Office charging a fee for paying it for you at Customs. If you`re going for bulk purchase or box sets try play247 or futureent first - no customs problems with either of these as they are posted inside the EU.

I generally test the water with a single purchase first, just to judge how good the site is. If you can, get a Credit Card that you only use for online purchases, with a low credit limit - about £200 or so. Then if your details get stolen or misused (fairly rare, but so is burglary!) they can only do a limited amount of damage.

Try to take this DVD purchase thing easy too. 99% of the bods here (myself included) are now DVD bargain junkies and have credit cards in meltdown! Believe me, it`s more addictive than crack cocaine! As a tip, buy the stuff you`re to going view again and again along with those films etc you consider classics. I have tried to limit myself to 1 dvd or so a month but it ain`t working! (I think I`ll have to go cold turkey soon or I`ll be working just to pay my DVD debts! ;-)> )

hmmm...I`ll have to disagree with you on the comparison of DVD adiction to that of Crack Cocaine addiction...i spent 6 months in a drug re-hab centre, and do not take kindly to your comments.

I agree, theres no way you could stuff those shiny discs into your small glass pipe and smoke them.

Well I suppose you could, but you`d never end up in the crack house because of it...
