Dear Client;

It is with a lot of regret and sadness that we must announce the closure
of the company 9086 - 8316 Québec Inc who managed the operations of
DVDSoon.com.

The assets of DVDSoon.com have been taken by Canadian
Distribution Services which means the site will remain open and all
activities will be maintained. Therefore all pending orders will be
honored.

Unfortunately all operations that were suspended and were the
responsibility of 9086 - 8316 Québec Inc will not be honored. These
operations include credits, refunds, replacement requests, and Fidelity
iPoints.

If you wish to obtain more information please send your questions to:

9086 - 8316 Québec Inc.
1001, Boul. Montarville #75023
Boucherville Québec
J4B 7Z2

We thank you for your support and your comprehension.

The Administration,

Quelle suprise. :/

I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

pure filth of a company. Writing was on the wall for months.

Would not have been surprised if their offer to send a cheque out wasnt a ploy to ensure that most people passed the 60 day chargeback window and saving them more money.

Was going to take 8 weeks to sort out allegedly, so bought them all the time needed.

You will Rue the day..........Go on then.....start rueing!!!!!

I wouldn`t bank on that email even being genuine.

Its very poorly worded and why if all pending orders are being honoured, are refunds etc not being honoured.

It sounds more like DVDSoon trying to refloat the boat by ditching debt and pretending to be a new company.

Also if this new firm took over last month why hasn`t the DVDSoon website been updated with the information. This is the website of the supposed new owners: http://www.cdsltd.ca/main.php

If thats true their directors are going to be getting some jailbird man love quite soon.

Im no expert on canadian law, but I`d think that would be all kinds of illegal.

Its` pretty sad what happened with this company - I used to buy ALL my R1 dvds from them.

But since the "problems" started, I never used them again (and did a charge back on my credit-card when when they wouldn`t refund my £100 or so "credit").

Oh well, off to DVD IMPORT I go... :)

It was only 2 days ago that i applied for my $58 CAD to be refunded back onto my Credit Card !!

How crap. I Knew they were in trouble, just didn`t expect them to go so soon.

Were useful in the past, but only on things you weren`t in a rush for.

It`s a real shame as I used to buy a s*** load of DVDs from them and would have carried on but when they p***ed about with the payment system and the ability to reclaim store credit I lost all faith in them and initiated chargebacks on whatever was on my credit card bills, something which unfortunately left about CA$30 in their coffers. >:(

It`s probably the case that they were in a bit of financial difficulty when they initiated their site changes but since it was applied so suddenly without any warning, this cause all their regular customers to jump ship with as much money as they could claw back leaving DVDSoon in a situation they could and should have avoided. Sad, but the less white collar criminals around the better.
