Rent as many DVD`s as you want for £15 a month!!

Here at www.in-movies.co.uk/dvd/main.php
Has anyone tried these people? I wondered if it was worthwhile. At face value it sounds pretty good. You compile a list of up to 50 films. They despatch 3. When watched one, pop it in the post and the next one on your list is sent to you. Minimum subscription is for 3 months (ie £45) You can also keep the films as long as you want

Hello Mac1, I`ve used these for exactly a month today and no problems so far. I`ve had 8 movies in that time but could have had more if I`d actually had a DVD player when I started!

Not too sure about how up-to-date the selection is - I`m just getting interested in movies - but right now I`ve got Hannibal 2-CD out, if that`s any indication.

A year`s subscription upfront is £130 (10.83 a month), which is what I might go for if they keep up the good work until my initial 3 months are over.

You should bear in mind that you`re at the mercy of the Post Office but, for me, InMovies has been good so far.

Cheers - Rob

So what`s the "free DVDs list" thing about - I assume that they`re not free - do they mean available to rent now?

It does sound like a very good system.
Are all of the movies in region 2 format, as it doesn`t appear to state it on the website and I can only play region 2 movies on my DVD player.

I think the "Free" ones are for referring someone who joins, but I`m not sure.

All the movies I`ve had so far are Region 2 - can`t see them renting out any other types.

Edit = Sorry, but I`ve just come across this thread on the same subject.

Region 2 movies only. The only drawback is they only supply movies that have been on retail sell through release. Hence a lot of the movies are stated as "coming soon" So their list won`t be as good as say Blockbusters for new films. However they are starting to stock second hand movies that have been on the rental market.
The year subs. sounds interesting though

Quite agree Mac1, I`m sure they`re not as good as Blockbuster, and don`t pretend to be as far as I`m aware. I don`t know what Blockbuster charge but I`ve had 8 movies in the past month for my 15 quid - including Hannibal, and no trips to collect them or to take the movies back, all postage-free. :)

Traffic arrived today, which I wasn`t expecting, although I had ordered it. That`s the only problem with InMovies - you can select what *you* want next but it doesn`t always work that way! There is also a "Most Wanted" feature but it ties up one of your slots until the movie becomes available.

So far, so good.

Cheers - Rob
