Wembley gigs scrapped after delay

Four concerts planned to be held at the new Wembley Stadium will no longer be staged there as the venue will not be finished on time, the BBC has learned.

US rock band Bon Jovi were due to be the first band to play at the rebuilt stadium on 10 June.

Take That, Robbie Williams and the Rolling Stones were also due to play over the summer.

The stadium project has been beset with problems and is already over budget and more than six months behind schedule.

Talk Radio this morning said a bird told them it would be June 2007.,,,,,,

Apparently Will Hill have Wembley at 100/1 not to be ready for the 2012 Olympics....
probably worth putting a fiver on that :/

Got to love how the Aussies can spend 250 million on a huge olympic stadium (i think that is what they said it cost - corrections welcome) yet for something like 750 million (again sketchy memory here I think this was a quoted figure at some point so more corrections please) we cant even get the thing finished let alone make it any better.

Its been a total joke from start to finish.

Not quite Bats, it was designed by Lord Norman Foster who is very British, and built by a combination of illegal immigrants and british workers who demanded their pay be doubled or they would go on strike. Which they did. It just happens that Multiplex are Aussies.
