oh dear. cheers for the wellwishes, but it didnt go well.

had a problem with a messed-up conduit kink (ok, double set, as i can hear those electrical tutors teeth grinding) that took me time to rectify plus i got confused on wiring up the lighting circuit.

failed due to a timeout

i get another shot in two weeks, so heres what i have to do:

-bone up more on the lighting circuit
-bring a proper crimping tool (wasnt ware you could take your own stuff in) and stripping lads of cable with a blunt knife chews up aaaages

plus next time im more familiar with the task in hand, so ill just coast through hopefully :)

Can the suggestion of avoid the bottle of wine the night before also be put forward ?? :-)

Dont rest on the familiarity thing. 2 weeks of knuckling down and "studying" what you need to do is a low sacrifice for what passing it will present to you
