Page 1 of HELP!!!! Finding Address with a Phone Number?

Hi,

Something really crap has happened, basicly someone stole my phone, at the airport just before I went on a three week holiday, but this was unknown to me when I left, only about 2 weeks in did I notice it gone, However some #!*!% had run up a £500 phone bill by that time, which I have been told I am liable for.

Though the b[at]ts*rd was a busy sh*thead, cause I now have a 28 page bill with a list of all the numbers they rang.

Is there any way I would be able to find out the addresses the phone numbers belong to? I have the list but am going to the police station today and basicly if I can find the addresses, it will hopefully speed up the search.

I would have though the data protection act would mean this is not possible. It would be a stalkers best tool.

I can`t see you`ll get any redress from the Police as it is not illegal to accept calls from a stolen phone

Even if they contacted the numbers it is highly unlikely they would tell who it was

You could try Google. I just put my work number in and got my address. It did not find my mobile though.

give them a ring prentending to have a delivery for them.. then, tell them you think that you are just round the corner, but can they verify the address for you to make sure.

you can pretend to lose signal when you fudge the address yourself..

ohh, the perfect crime...

IF it is UK - BT`s online directory service will usually allow you to search for phone numbers and addresses - or thats what I remember from some time back. Try your luck...

I had a quick look on BT - you need an address to get a number but I couldnt see anyway to go from number to address
