Explain further,
or are you making comment about their weird back to front date method.
BTW, a belated welcome back.
... If found, please return this person to the insane asylum, as it really annoys them when people do that :¦

YYYY-MM-DD is how I begin the names of some files if I want to ensure they appear consecutively. This makes sense. Our DD-MM-YY also makes sense. The American date-style makes no sense whatsover, they just do it to be awkward I think.

Ta. :)
The weird way they do it arse-about-face. I don`t know, for update purposes (for example), whether it is the 9th August or the 8th September.
In this instance it is pretty easy to work out, but other times with other stuff it is impossible.
Logically it is day, month, year. Makes sense. But oh no, they have to change it into an illogical sequence.
Wonder if they actually meant to do that horror on the 9th of November? Maybe I shouldn`t go there.

Think rightl I you are.
Really Month/Day does make sense if you write it Year/Month/Day.
But I think it`s more to do with how they say it - Novermber 5th, December 25th etc etc where as we are more likely to say 25th of December.
Americans do seem to miss off "and"s and "of"s, which could be argued, makes the language quicker.
If you`ve ever been on a Microsoft course, its always Windows Server two thousand three.

RE: Why Do Americans Do This?
The Yanks deliberately drove (or more accurately rode seeing as twas in the 17th c) on the right hand side of the road to be different from their British/European background. They also deliberately eat with the knife and fork reversed for the same reason. Might be the same for dates.
BTW Bats, I see you`ve gone old skool on yer sig
