i hope that there might be someone out there that can be of help to me.
i have tried the hacking code published in the forum, but to no avail. I pressed :menu, 9, open/close, 5, mute, after pressing mute (all) appears for a breif second then disapears, i then pressed ok, and then exit. but nothing happens and i still can not change the dvd to all region, the problem is that the dvd is set on region 1 & i need to change it to region 2.
if any one can tell me what i am doing wrong or another way of hacking this system i would be most greatfull.

I used to have a Matty110 before I got my current machine (a Grundig 210A if you`re curious). I`m a little confused by your note. You say you can`t change regions, yet at the end you say it`s set to region 1 and you want to change it to region 2.
Region 1= USA&Canada
Region 2= UK and Europe
Any road up -
I remember a different hack for the machine. You started by opening the drawer and sticking your R1 disk in. Then you did the hack as you quoted, but after pressing mute, you pressed play and the drawer closed and the disk started.
It seems there`s a new version of the machine around, and that has the hack: Open drawer, put R1 disk in, then Menu, 1,6,7, Mute and then press Play.
By the way, the unit will play any region (including R2) in this state.
Thanks for the reply. Will still try to find away around the problwm, the system was bought already set on region 1, but i live in region 2 area so i have no region 1 discs and the system will not play region 2.will keep trying, thank you for your time & reply.
jock
you dont work for rmb do ya
sorry mate i aint got a clue as to what you mean, i am a school classroom assisstant, working with primary aged children
if you pressed mute and the words ALL appear then you have completed the hack.
the machine should now be multiregion
dont worry about pressing anything after mute because that should be the last button in the hack you press
try changing the region ie. instead of pressing mute try the numbers 1, 2 ,3 or 4 to change to the region of your choice.
so thats
Power (on machine)
Menu(on remote)
9 (on remote)
open/close (on remote)
5 (on remote)
mute (or nos. 1-8 for specific region) (on remote)
