Never had 1 or 2 so I bought this game on pure hype.

Great, but it can`t be better than Doom2.

Which I am now off to play.

by all accounts its one of the best games ever.
I`ll be interested to see how Metropolis street racer 2 fairs against it when it is released next year. The original on the dreamcast is amazing sadly the follow up not on dc.

Dukey, i dont often agree with your views but im right with you on this one! this game is fantastic. this is the game which finally convinced me to go out a buy a PS2 last friday. i didnt know butchering innocent tramps and prostitutes could be so much fun!!!

Indeed GTA3 is absolutely spot on,especially playing with Dolby Pro Logic 2 decoding on my Denon amp,the sound quality is absolutley top of the line on this game-far better than the dodgy pants from the very first PS original.
However my Dreamcast still provides the best gaming anywhere. The PS2 might have the (slight) edge in visuals, but nothing can compare to the mastery of Sega`s in house software team-utter utter genius, which Sony have picked ideas from from the very start.
So how many hidden cars then mate?!
And about the Game Cube, my friend took delivery of a Jap machine this week(progressive scan output is beyond compare). What an absolute corker, with the bland PS2 line up(ok they may be good-but tell me something thats original and excitingly new in that line up?), showing us just how complacent the gaming industry has become, here comes Nintendo to show us all how it doesn`t have to be a bog standard sports game or platformer-the quality of the visuals,the sound and most importantly the very slick gameplay, should be enough to worry poor Sony into tears-believe me its that good. But you`ll just have to see for yourself.
X-Box? Yeah whatever......

(Ok, ok, although it might be the best game ever, I have to admit that I am still playing Perfect Dark, and that it`s the only game I have ever played in the last 14 months or so.)

A little tip if you wanna get to shoreside vale quick!
when you go to staunton island get in the speed boat found @ the back of yer womans apartment (the girl along with maria) take it over to the pipeline where you cant go any further and ram the land to jump as far inland as possible then get out of the boat and hit it with a car untill it falls into the water on the other side of the pipeline (it works cause i done it)
