*raises hand*

We get nothing, not a thing, and its not a big multinational company its a reasonably sized family company of around 50 employees, which are usually the kind of places who look after their employees. No works do, no Christmas bonus or gift of any kind, not even a card and a handshake, all we get is an end of year meeting where the boss tells us how great things have been this year, how he couldnt have done it without us, how much profit weve made etc etc which is a real slap in the face for a workforce being paid pennies over minimum wage >:(

Odd realy as weve just recently completed our annual pay rise dispute that he dragged on for almost 6 months which almost came to a full on strike action as he claimed the company wasnt in a financial position to offer anything, profits were non existant and we were close to `going under` :/

Happy Christmas to you too Mr Bossman

I work in the public sector and we get an annual bonus, that`s true, but it`s offset against poor pay and the inevitable miniscule payrise dictated by Gordon Brown...

I work in the public sector too but we don`t get a bonus.
And if we wanted an Xmas meal we had to take annual leave for it because `that`s what they do in the private sector`.

Not had a bonus for 4 years now - seems to be that the DFES has to deem that your school deserves extra money for us to have a bonus

I work for a multinational in the oil and gas industry. Normally we get a couple of hours off on the last day as long as we`ve worked the rest of the hours to make it up to the contractual 37.5 hours minimum. Didn`t get that this year, but did get a visit 5 mins before due to leave from our boss to thank us for our efforts (or was it to check we were still there? :( ). Also found out on the grapevine that our offices in Scotland got a 2 week pay bonus >:( .
They`re the type of company that has only staff, and that everyone is equal, except some, that are more equal than others i.e. the office type staff and the non office staff. The office type staff doesn`t have to "clock" in or out, but the others do as they will abuse the system and not work their contractual hours. Last I heard, a new system was being introduced for everyone as it was noticed how some of the office staff had been abusing their not "clocking" status >:(

Bitch over.

Well I work for a large multinational, and didn`t get a Christmas bonus, not that i expected one.

As a PLC we work to make money for the shareholders, so I consider my bonus to be the dividend cheque that I will get in January (I bought shares in my company about 4 years ago, and not via any kind of staff scheme).

That said we did get a good rise this year, and I got a `discretionary` bonus when the boss thought i was going to quit in August (not sure why he thought that, i had no plans to leave :p ) It was a double bonus really because another member of the team who was a bit workshy was so angry that they did not get a bonus (nobody apart from me did!) that they quit, which made everybody quite happy ;)
