Page 1 of Where is hot in December?

Im looking at taking me and my son away for Christmas but apart from Florida cant think of anywhere else thats warm, will have things to do but still be a bit Christmassy.
Looking at going for a week, leaving around the 21st, spend as little as possible (do realise its going to be ridiculously expensive hence organising it now to save the pennies) and I dont mind where
Anyone any ideas?

What do you mean by "warm" ?

We spent Christmas & New Years in Tenerife (Los Gigantes, nice and quiet/family oriented) 2 years ago, and it was above 20 degrees C the whole time.
Very nice Christmas feel there though.

A cruise around the med sounds like a good idea. Didnt realise the canaries could be so warm - thanks will look into both.
Andy, would love to do Oz in their summer (went there in July and it rained!) unfortunately budget certainly wont stretch that far :(

There`s a clue there somewhere :D

Friend`s neighbour took her son (8 I think) to Egypt last Christmas and they`ve just come back from a second trip. They did the whole pyramids thing, but also went diving I think.

Christmassy because there`d be plenty of westerners, and also Mary and Joseph fled to Egypt with Jesus to escape Herod. :D :B

Juls I would recommend the following hotel in caleta Tenerifie

Stayed there twice and its a fantastic place staff great, awesome kids club, food is outstanding, free bus to adeje has its own beach, pools are very clean and the area is lush.

If you do go get your own taxi from the airport way cheaper than a transfer coach and quicker:)
