Council Jobs- Advertising Jobs and the Laws?? HELP needed please
Does anyone know if there are any laws that require local councils to advertise job vancancies?
For example if a local council created a new post and took in a friend off the street to fill this role without advertising the job nor interview, is there an actual Law being broken?
I have looked around net and can`t seem to find the answer :(
Thank you for any advice
David

I think you`ll find that all local authorities have to advertise any positions, but generally they already have the position filled and are therefore going through the motions in terms of interviews...

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...
And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...

Thanks.
Any idea of the Law stipulating this?

They could of course be going through the morons in terms of interview, alas in my experience the moron is already picked for the job. ;)
