Page 1 of A favour please...

I hate all those `please vote for me in the XXXX contest` requests taht end up in forums, so this *isn`t* one of those. Honest - I`m not even going to tell you which entry is mine. PEPSI currently have a competition where they are giving 10 prizes of £1000 each week for a video clip about how Pepsi makes you feel (yes I know my sig here is about Irn Bru and it does make me feel a little dirty but £1000 may well be a nice new HD TV!). 5 prizes based on the judges and 5 prizes based on votes on the site.

Anyway, some $%*&%^$& are voting everyone else`s clips very low rather than based on if they are any good or not - some are some aren`t. So if any of you guys have a few minutes to spare and feel like having a look through some short clips and voting for them *properly* then it might undo some of the messing about these guys have done, and some of them are actually quite funny (some funny good some funny bad). Even if I don`t get my score raised I`ll be much happier if the results are more about the effort soem people have put in.

Much appreciated, and I don`t think getting folks from forums to vote isn`t unfair - it is after all pretty much the point of these things, but i didn`t want to be taking advantage of goodwill on the forum. I was as interested in countering the effects of those dishing out lots of low votes to everyone else as to get a few extra votes for myself.

Thanks guys, got the rating up to 2.1 an hour or so ago, but it`s dropped down to 1.5 in the space of about 10 votes so I reckon it`s one person who`s registered lots of times with different e-mails and is going round lowering everyone elses scores. Not much point in trying to compete against that - just need to hope the judges like it and choose it as one of their 5 winners. It just hacks me off that somebody doing that is going to end up getting rewarded for it with a bundle of cash.
