Thoroughly enjoyable evening apart from the, far too many changes, start.
I think we should be treating the league cup a lot more seriously this season.
It's a cup and this team needs to win something.
I should have had faith in my own predictions and placed a quid or two mid match. As soon as he scored I said hat trick to myself.

Tried to watch split screen with the women's match which is never a good idea so ended up watching the men with just half an eye on the women.

Quite agree.
Very happy with Slegers and I hope she keeps the job.

Let's see if we can do Palace again at their place on Saturday.

Thanks for the suggestions 
It may be Google Prime as that was part of the deal with EE but I need to resolve my arguments with them before uploading stuff and having to do it over again on another site.
One drive seems to be a top choice but I'm quite happy with Libre Office and 365 works etc seems to be a major part of the deal.
Dropbox is a possibility as I use that for documents and accounts.

I'll have to bite the bullet and stump up a few quid though whichever choice.

BTW after I gave up fighting the Amazon Photo app to try and upload from where it stopped about the beginning of November I look on the app today and it's all on there. **** knows when or how.

Stumped up for Spotify in the end.
Managing the music side of things.
Surprised and happy to find a range of audiobooks included and currently into and enjoying Karla's Choice which is a Smiley novel written by Le Carre's son. I still struggle with the idea that it's a book though. Can't cope with the fact you can listen to a book.
Podcasts though.
I've tried but given up and gone back to Podcast Addict. It had it's faults but I find it a lot better than Spotify.

Which cloud storage do people use as I'm really getting the ar** ache with Amazon photos.
I find it bloody difficult to navigate and it's forever stopping backing up stuff from my phone no matter how many times I tweak the settings.

3.0 at home to Monaco with a very switched about team is very respectable.
A few scares not least the fact that Martinelli came out for the second half having been so close to a second or even third yellow if that were possible.

Lewis Skelly looked right at home and unflappable for someone only just 18.
Beautiful pass to Jesus for the assist on Saka's first goal.

1.1 was frustrating.
Only able to follow the match on Arseblog's live blog.
Some of the sting taken out of it when you're sat by a lake in 24C with a coffee.
Nice that the women got a 4.0 vs Villa after they've caused us problems before.
Sensibly they've given Slegers the rest of the season and I hope she's considered for the position in the summer.

I'll catch up with the highlights of both in a bit, jet lag allowing.

New phone and E sim

Briefly as I'm abroad at the moment.

Absolute ****ing nightmare with a new phone but same sim.
Agreed worldwide roaming with EE.
Less than a day in zero data.
Trying to contact EE marginally successful with no resolution.

Gave up.
If you haven't discovered the ease of E sims if your phone does it you're missing out.
Ten minutes from search how they work and who does them to up and running.

Extended row with EE when I get back.

Whilst their second goal was a fantastic free kick in what world was that ever a foul in the first place.
I almost didn't bother watching the second half as I knew damn well it would be 0.0.
Still a 5.2 win away from home is not to be sneezed at.
Any result tomorrow at LFC vs City will have a plus element to it.

I'm out of the country for the next two matches and as much as I'd like to watch them I'm probably going to be getting dirty looks from Mrs Snaps while keeping track on my phone.
Shall be catching at least the highlights package afterwards though.

Think I've found the reason after a software update.
If you transfer your number to a new phone it looks like the sim reports as the number it originally had I'm guessing.

Suffice to say at least it looks like they won't be sending my banking details to some Russian bot or Nigerian prince.

I'm setting up a new Galaxy S24 Ultra which seems to be a life's work.

Trying to put a Monzo card on Google wallet and it lists
Request from
Location. which is correct
Hardware. which is correct
Phone number. (last four digits) which is nothing to do with me
Card number which is correct

I can find no way of challenging this through either Google's insufferable AI chat bot or Monzo who don't seem to employ anything that draws breath.

Do I just add the card regardless or is that likely to compromise my security.

I've come to the conclusion that they obviously know they just can't stop him though. From where he runs he's a pretty unstoppable force so it's either get the header or draw a penalty.
A bit like Henry cutting in from the left and scoring from the edge of the area.
Everyone knew he was going to do it but he was unstoppable.

That was very unstressful.
Missed Martinelli's goal 🙁
and theirs due to stoppy starty issues.

Apart from the beginning of the second half when I though we sat back too much we were in charge most of the match.

City finished 3.3 after being 3.0 up.
Off. Coming. Wheels. ( arrange into a well known phrase )

Not happy that the high profile moves have hit the worse off.

Winter Fuel etc and I'm hearing very little about getting money back off the like of Mone and all the Tory grifters.

This could be just lousy PR but I'm prepared to wait considerably longer than four months to find out. Which we'll have to as it's a five year term.

It always depends on performance which relates to the teams around you.

I'm guessing we're talking about the manager and my point is always that a replacement should be the reason a manager is sacked.
Not get rid of the manager and then start the 'Oh sh*t who can we get in.

Only just caught up with the MOTD highlights after hearing some of it on the radio.
There was some lovely play going on with Odegaard back. He really does make us tick.
Lovely to see city let four in at home just a shame it had to be that lot that beat them.

Watching the women used to be a bit of relaxation.
Not anymore.
Juventus obviously turned up to win a point.
We had several really good chances late in the second half and finally Hurtig got one in from about a yard.
Into the quarters, deservedly so.

They've got to think about giving the job to Slegers full time now.
Personally I think they should at least tell her she's got the rest of the season and do a full recruit including her in any short list after season's end.
