Page 1 of Las Vegas - Helicopter tour of Grand Canyon etc.

Hi all

Anyone been to Vegas and done one of those helicopter tours over the grand canyon?
If so, do you mind answering....which company did you go with? Did you book in advance? How much was it? and what did you experience etc.?

Was going to do it - but hired a car for our stay so will be driving out there also Hoover Dam and lake Mead

Sorry, can`t guarantee whether I`m right here, but I`ve been told from bloke it work it cost £40 each for 6 of them to have helicopter on their own.

He did say it was awesome but he wished he went on the boat ride through it aswelll, which is supposed to be amazing awswell (was meant to be there in November but now cancellled >:( , personally the helicopter is first choice because I`ve never been in one).

Same here (as in never been in a helicopter) - so very much looking forward to it.
A guy at work recommended one company who apparently have a flawless safety record and some good helicopters...but they`re about £200 per person for a 5 hour trip. So will have to think about that! :D

Taking my laptop with me anyway so can always book something online when we`re there. We have 2 weeks on the west coast before heading to Vegas anyway.

Well all packed and ready to go - early flight tomorrow - can`t bleedin wait to get DVT on the way :¦
Loads of things planned - `LOVE` , Chris Cornell, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Grand Canyon, eat s*** loads, pick up cheap Ipod Touch, topless rodeo (while Missus goes shopping) & some gun shooting :D

yes we did one with `sundance helicopters`... picked us up in a stretched limo from the hotel, champagne breakfast in the canyon, at only a site they are allowed to use, so remote, and very peaceful... fantastic flight, lasted a good morning, even took in the Hoover Dam, Boulder City, then when back into Vegas a flight back down the strip right past the Stratosphere, up to the Luxor and back into the airport... and many other sights... link here i would thoroughly recomend this company, they were faultless... if i was to go again i would definately use them! And as a bonus after this holiday, my daughter arrived nine months later!!! ;)

if you are in the middle seat of the chopper and on a dont land trip your view for taking pictures is limited .if you go by plane every one gets a window seat but you havent got the pamaramic view your choice .i strongly recomend you do the hoover dam and lake mead tour this is about 70$ each .midway on the strip there is a giant coca cola bottle in the building behind the bottle is a tour resivation desk i have booked several times with these guys with no complaints .if its your first trip join a players club in any casino they will give you a book of money off vouchers bogof (drinks ) mainley its free so do it

Just got back to a fooking cold and wet Manchester.

Had a great trip - so glad we hired a car (£40.00 for the week) so managed to get out and past the Strip. Def going back next year.
