I think couldn`t afford may be a little wide of the mark. How many flats/council houses have at least one dish up ?

I read an article with a rep from Sky - said it was their attempt to attract the more affluent customer who isn`t traditionally interested in Sport / Movie channels.

I fall into this category - however my wife is very anti-Sky on this. "So, they let C4 and BBC take the risk as to whether something will work. Once it does - they acquire it !". This makes her more determined not to go Sky, but to watch via our existing Lovefilm account.

Not done any picture tweaking, but very pleased with it so far.

Streamed a film via "lovefilm" the other night - great feature (£10 per month).

I got the Sony 40 inch 503 model for £675 from Amazon.

Very pleased with it - picture quality great, sound not brilliant, but good enough.

My Mrs prefers the sound to the Loewe it replaced.

By the way, Loewe may be "high end" - but pretty unreliable in my experience (32 inch CRT and 26inch TFT).

Now "downgraded" to Panasonic (plasma in lounge) and Sony (lcd in conservatory).

Apparently they`re allowed it, as their liberty is at stake if they lose the case.

Replacement TV for Conservatory

After a bit of advice, if possible.

We have a 26" LCD TV in the conservatory.

I got the LCD at the time, due to having a "matt finish" screen, so when used in the conservatory there were no reflections.

It`;s now time to replace (with something bigger...) - Is LCD the only way to go, or do LED tvs have a matt finish also ?

Convert Itunes film to DVD playable ?

Hi,

Got my daughter an Ipod Touch for Xmas.

As part of the 12 days of Xmas campaign, today they`re giving away a free copy of Lesbian Vampire Killers.

Have downloaded it, however is it possible to convert and burn to a DVD that will play on the telly ?

I see there is a "burn disc" option in Itunes, will this do it ? It`s not the most intuitive of software packages !!

Ebay Advice - Foreign Posting ?

Hi,

Have a PS2 and peripherals / games etc for sale on Ebay. I`m quite a novice with Ebay.

I`ve been asked "will you post to Portugal ?".

Just want a bit of advice - is this OK ? Or is it a scam !?

The item finishes soon, and has UK bids already - so any advice appreciated !!

(p.s. as I`ve not sold much through Ebay, I have to use Paypal. Can I get my money out of the paypal account easily ?)

MP3 Player With Inbuilt Speakers

Hello, would like to get an MP3 player with inbuilt speakers for my 7 year old.

She has problems with her ears, so not so keen on earbuds / `phones.

Any recommends ?

I know Sony do one, but doesn`t get great write ups.

Itouch is another option - but concerned it would be too difficult for her to operate.

Any help gratefully received.

What Camera Memory ?

Hello,

Been a while since I got a new digital camera.

Looking at a canon SX200 (as it`s £70 cheaper than a Pana TZ7....)

What memory should I use with this ? Would be a mixture of piccies and short bursts of video ?

I`m guessing an 8GB SDHC card, but what make / class / where from ?

Camera shop recommended their Hama 8gb - but it was £30 - seemed a bit steep ?

Any help gratefully appreciated.
